Hosting on Pinterest looks effortless, clean and perfected, creative and fancy. Bleh. Those standards are too high for me. Except that literally every time I sign up to host I go C R A Z Y trying to create the perfect evening. I make life miserable for myself and my family in preparation. I mean, my heart is in the right place. I desperately want to treat others to an amazing experience. I want them to feel loved and celebrated. But at the expense of my sanity? That's something I have leave behind.
And honestly, as much as I hate to face it, people don't really want perfection.
So, my hope is to offer some simple but beautiful recipes and ideas to get you through the next month. The kind of hosting (or party-going) where you can stop by the store on the way home, pull together a couple things and just let it be easy.
